Returns & Exchanges Policy
Last updated: 5 December 2025
This Returns & Exchanges Policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returning, exchanging, or refunding items purchased from Unique.I Ltd, a second-hand and pre-loved clothing e-commerce platform operating in Ireland. Unique.I Ltd complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2022, the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when handling personal data during the returns process.
1. Eligibility for Returns
As Unique.I offers second-hand and vintage clothing, each piece is unique and carefully described on our website. We encourage customers to review product details and measurements before purchasing.
You have the right to return items within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, in accordance with your statutory right of withdrawal under Irish and EU law.
To qualify for a return:
The item must be in the same condition as received — unworn, unwashed, unused, with any original tags still attached.
For vintage or pre-owned garments, any existing imperfections will have been disclosed in the product description. Items cannot be returned for previously disclosed wear or condition details.
Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required.
Returns must be requested by emailing returns@uniquei.ie or through your Unique.I customer account.
Items returned without prior authorisation will not be accepted.
2. Non-Returnable Items
Due to the nature of second-hand retail and hygiene standards, the following items are non-returnable:
Underwear, swimwear, and personal care items
Jewellery and body accessories (for hygiene reasons)
Customised, altered, or upcycled garments
Items marked as “Final Sale” or purchased from clearance sections
Gift cards or digital vouchers.
If you have any doubts about a product’s return eligibility, contact us before completing your order.
3. Return Process
To initiate a return:
1- Email returns@uniquei.ie with your order number, product details, and reason for return.
2- Once approved, you will receive a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) and instructions.
3- Send the item to:
Unique.I Ltd
The Talbot Building, Civic Street, Cherrywood Town Centre, Dublin 18, Dublin, Ireland
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective, damaged, or sent in error.
We recommend using a tracked postal service. Returned parcels remain the customer’s responsibility until received and inspected by Unique.I.
4. Exchanges
Because each item is unique and one-of-a-kind, direct exchanges are not possible. If you wish to purchase another item, please return your original order for a refund and place a new order for the desired piece.
5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Each item is carefully inspected before shipping. However, if your order arrives damaged or not as described, contact us within 7 days of delivery at returns@uniquei.ie, attaching photos and order details. We will:
Offer a refund or store credit, or
Replace the item with a similar product (if available).
Return shipping costs for defective or incorrect items will be covered by Unique.I.
6. Refunds
After your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email regarding approval or rejection.
Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Bank or card provider processing times may vary.
If 15 business days have passed since refund approval and you have not received your funds, please contact returns@uniquei.ie.
7. Your Rights under Irish and EU Law
You are entitled to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason. Refunds will include the cost of the item and standard delivery fees but exclude upgraded or express shipping.
Unique.I reserves the right to deduct a reasonable amount for any loss in value if returned items show signs of wear or handling beyond what is necessary to examine them.
8. Data Protection (GDPR)
All personal data collected in the returns process is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Information such as name, address, order details, and payment method is processed only for returns and compliance with consumer law.
Data is retained for up to 6 years for accounting and legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Customers may exercise their GDPR rights by contacting privacy@uniquei.ie.
